Esther Gathigi Kibugi is passionate about empowering young and aspiring entrepreneurs to develop the skills and insights they need to transition their startups into high-potential business ventures.
Esther is a former banker turned international development professional with over 16 years experience across East Africa specializing in gender equality, youth and women empowerment, and digital inclusion. Her passion lies in bridging the digital gender divide and fostering inclusive, sustainable communities.
Prior to joining DOT, Esther was the Executive Director for WECREATE Kenya, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State that establishes entrepreneurial community centers in safe and centralized locations for women to gain access to the essential resources required for starting or growing businesses.
She is also a Global Shaper Alumni, Former Curator (2016/17) of the Nairobi Hub, previously a mentor with the Africa Entrepreneurship Awards and a Consultant on a Refugee Livelihood program in Uganda.
Esther is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Kenya, the Kenya Gender Budget Network, a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Education Policy and Climate Justice (CEPCJ) and Uthabiti Africa.
Beryl has more than 15 years of experience as an accountant and financial consultant. She is responsible for financial management and reporting, asset management and financial accounting. She advises the management team and program teams on various operational decisions. She manages funds in a judicious manner while minimizing risk, and ensures adequate controls over the use of funds.
Beryl has a track record of success in establishing and managing finance and administration systems and structures, costs allocation and financial governance structures. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds an Executive Master of Science in Organizational Development from United States International University Africa.
Lucy Mwangi is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in Finance and Administration, budgeting, accounting, financial modeling, auditing, grant management, fundraising, project logistics, and people management.
Her commitment to enhancing the financial sustainability and operational effectiveness of non-profit organizations is evident through her multifaceted expertise and a proven track record in navigating the complexities of financial management.
She is dedicated to ensuring sound fiscal practices and strategic financial planning to drive long-term organizational success. Lucy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Nairobi, ACCA Level 1 from Strathmore University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Management and Organizational Development at the United States International University Africa (USIU-Africa).
Petronila has 14 years of experience in learning content development and educational publishing; over 6 years of experience in using human-centered design approach in designing and developing learner-centered programs targeting youth and women with a focus in empowering them with entrepreneurial, digital and social innovation skills.
She also supports teams to create solutions that create impact. Petronila is passionate about gender issues and how it impacts the implementation of programs with an objective of improving the participation of women.
She has an BSc in Agricultural Education and extension from Egerton University, an MBA and MA communication studies from University of Nairobi, currently pursuing MA Gender Studies. She is a certified coach by The International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Dorine is a creative and results-oriented communications specialist with a demonstrated wealth of experience in writing, strategic communications, social media management, content development, event management, brand communication, media engagement and graphic design.
She has worked with NGOs, corporations, international NGOs, and government institutions. Dorine thrives working in both a collaborative environment and independently. She has excellent interpersonal skills, has a knack for storytelling and vast knowledge in digital marketing including SEO and email marketing using tools like Mailchimp.
Dorine holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and Literature from the University of Nairobi. She is passionate about sustainable development goals and driven by the desire to see Africa and the world as whole become a better place for everyone.
When she is not working, you will find her at a theatre, engrossed in a book or taking a walk in nature.
With over a decade of diverse professional experience, Reginah is a dedicated and natural leader committed to excelling in various roles in the EdTech space. Her career journey spans positions such as Learning & Research Coordinator, Curriculum & Content Developer, Account Manager, Assessments Administrator, Teacher, and Trainer.
A highlight of Reginah's contributions to education is the development of various children, youth and women empowerment curricula, including and not limited to Financial Literacy, Digital Skills, Soft Skills, Social Emotional Learning(SEL), Employability Skills, Life Skills, Business Development Micro-Courses, and Advocacy Program. These programs stand as a testament to her impactful work.
Her commitment to inclusivity and personalized education is evident through collaboration with Non-governmental organizations, the Ministry of Education, Foundations, and the Private sector to enable early graders, youth, adults, community leaders, opinion shapers, and persons with disabilities to meet their unique learning needs. This showcases her dedication to ethical development projects.

Stella is a development practitioner with over 7 years experience in the social impact space. She has extensive experience in managing , designing and implementing projects from both humanitarian and developmental contexts within Kenya. She has worked with rural and urban communities and supported local organizations in design and oversight implementation on different spectrums. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Resource Management and Extension from Kenyatta University.
